There are nearly 500 courses in Minnesota, and recently we had a chance to experience two of the best at Giants Ridge Resort about an hour and half north of Duluth in the Superior National Forest on the Mesabi Iron Range. The PGA Tour kicks off the fall series of its 2022-23 season Sept. 15-18 with the Fortinet Championship on the North Course at the lush and luxurious Silverado Resort in Napa, Calif. The 14th rendition of the Presidents Cup, the biannual series of matches between teams from the United States and International players from outside Europe, will be contested at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, NC from Sept. 22-25. Expect Quail Hollow’s peerless and challenging Tom Fazio-designed golf course at the club to be talked about as much as the competition itself, as the course and its tests will play a huge factor in the competition.
