Pebble Beach
There’s never a better time to start planning an oceanside golf getaway than when the temperatures around the country are at their coldest, and we are sure the idea of enjoying the sounds of crashing waves alongside plush, green fairways sounds good to just about everyone right about now.
There’s no doubt that playing golf alongside majestic ocean vistas adds to the experience for any golfer, and we’ve highlighted a few of the best destinations that we love for golf near the beach.
You’ll find options at a variety of price points and locations, so hopefully one of these can satisfy your oceanside golf craving.
Pebble Beach
It’s impossible to discuss a list of the best oceanside golf experiences without including Pebble Beach on the list. As one of the game’s most iconic venues, these bucket list mecca continues to get better as they have made some significant investments into the resort recently including some major renovations to The Lodge and the dining venues as you’ll see in our story here, and in mid-March 2026 they will be closing Spanish Bay to bring in Gil Hanse and his team to reshape this incredible property. In the meantime, the property is preparing to host the 2027 U.S. Open so there’s never been a better time to play what many consider to be the No. 1 public golf course in the country.

Sea Island Resort
Along the coast of southern Georgia is a beachside haven known as Sea Island. This resort is known for its comfortable luxurious setting, and the service levels at all their facilities are second to none. There is so much to see and do here that it would take a small novel to list all that this resort has to offer, but one of the many things we love about Sea Island is how well they cater to golf trips for the boys, couples, girls getaways, and family outings.
When it comes to oceanside golf, the Seaside Course is a must-play during your visit followed closely by the Plantation and Retreat courses.
As you’ll see in our exclusive drone footage below, this coastal beauty is the definition of bucket-list golf.
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort
Value, value, and more value. That’s the name of the game at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. This coastal treasure in Northwest Florida is home to four great golf courses and features some of the most pristine beaches you’ll find in the U.S.
Sandestin is perfect for golf groups of all sizes as the variety of accommodations are abundant, and we recommend you take advantage of the serenity of the powdery white-sandy beaches here and enjoy this little slice of heaven in Northwest Florida.

Aurora Anguilla
As the only golf experience available on this picture-perfect island in the British West Indies in the Caribbean, Aurora Anguilla provides golfers with an incredible venue for a beachside golf getaway.
Known as a destination that caters to couples golf trips, they’ve also added a massive water park to expand the activities for family golf trips as well. Aurora International Golf Club provides golfers with a re-imagined Greg Norman design that features stunning views of the crystal-clear Caribbean Sea that will leave your jaw on the floor.
There’s also a fun 9-holer called Avalon Links that is welcoming to golfers of all skill levels.
And when you combine the incredible golf experience with luxurious oceanside accommodations at the beautiful Aurora Anguilla Resort, it all adds up to an unforgettable getaway.

Kiawah Island Golf Resort
How can we talk about great oceanside golf without highlighting The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island?!
Kiawah Island Golf Resort gained its prominence from the Pete Dye-designed Ocean Course masterpiece, and with four additional courses of Osprey Point, Oak Point, Turtle Point, and Cougar Point all onsite here that have all received renovations over the last few years to further enhance your golf experience.
From a lodging standpoint, Kiawah Island offers multiple options, but we are rather partial to The Sanctuary Hotel as it’s one of the best hotels in the country bar none.
Hilton Head Island
With an embarrassment of riches when it comes to first-class golf courses, Hilton Head Island in South Carolina boasts a wonderful variety of layouts for traveling golfers to enjoy — and a couple of them have incredible oceanside views.
It’d be impossible to talk about this destination without mentioning the legendary Harbour Town Golf Links which recently underwent a touch-up and is looking perfect these days. While it’s not directly on the ocean as the finishing holes run adjacent to the Calibogue Sound, we’re still going to lump it into the category as the Sound connects to the Atlantic Ocean.
You can find incredible ocean views at several courses on the island though including at Atlantic Dunes (a sister course to Harbour Town), the Robert Trent Jones Course at Palmetto Dunes, and Oyster Reef Golf Club for a few additional options.
What’s also nice about Hilton Head is there are a variety of price point options for both golf and lodging, so you can fit oceanside golf into almost any budget.

Ocean City, Maryland
Another exceptional value destination, Ocean City delivers golfers a lot of variety of golf courses for an excellent option in the Mid-Atlantic.
In addition to top-notch golf at courses like Rum Pointe, The Links at Lighthouse Sound, and Eagle’s Landing Golf Course just to name a few, you’ll experience a rich cultural experience here highlighted by the famous Boardwalk that features great dining and shopping options.
It’s an amazing location for exceptional seafood especially if you are craving a world-famous Maryland crab cake.

Bandon Dunes Golf Resort
Oregon may not be the first place that comes to mind when oceanside golf is discussed, but it just so happens to be the location of one of the best oceanside golf destinations in the world.
From the original David McLay Kidd-designed Bandon Dunes course all the way to the resort’s latest 18-hole addition of the Sheep Ranch, Bandon Dunes will give you the feeling of a Scottish golf experience right here in the states.
If you want to book here, you’ll need to start planning way in advance as current lead times tend to be 12-18 months out for a lot of trips these days.
Bandon Dunes Golf Resort
Prince Edward Island
Much like we said about Sandestin Beach and Golf Resort, we are always blown away with the experience and value that you get in Prince Edward Island.
This destination is full of ocean views as the small island is home to an unbelievable amount of great public golf with ocean vistas for days.
There are tons of great offerings here, and personally we’ve loved our time at Brudenell River Golf Course, The Links at Crowbush Cove, and Dundarave. The best part here is the pricing is exceptional, so you can get all the perks of the oceanside golf for a fraction of the price in Prince Edward Island especially given the current U.S. and Canada exchange rates.

Punta Espada Golf Course
When it comes to sheer beauty, Punta Espada Golf Course in the Dominican Republic is among the prettiest golf courses we have ever seen.
Punta Espada consistently ranks highly on all the major lists among the top courses in the Caribbean, and this Jack Nicklaus Signature design is a must play for any golfer headed to the island.
