Any time the name Tiger Woods is spoken in golf circles, we are going to take notice. And recently, the team at Tributer Resort has selected the 15-time major champion and his TGR Design team to develop their new private, 18-hole championship golf course along the shores of Virginia’s Lake Anna.
Located a short drive Northwest from Richmond, Virginia and Southwest from Arlington, Virginia and Washington D.C., this lakeside sanctuary is easily accessible through multiple major airports or a short drive for most golfers along the Eastern seaboard.
The new TGR Design course will offer a distinct core layout designed to showcase the dramatic topography of the area by integrating the stunning natural landscape into the design. The course will be routed through rolling farmland, mature hardwood forests, and pine groves overlooking Lake Anna.

A look at the course . . .
Scheduled to tip out at 7,310 yards, this course should pack quite a punch for better players while also providing plenty of playable options for higher handicap golfers.

The new TGR Design course joins Cutalong Golf Club, Tributer Resort’s existing private golf experience which is only available to members or guests staying at the resort which was inspired by National Golf Links of America and the strategic principles of golf’s Golden Age architects, including C.B. MacDonald, Donald Ross, and Alister MacKenzie.
The course plays as an American-inspired take with links and heathland styling influences from across the pond, and it blends perfectly into the heavily wooded backdrops that are a sight to see when the leaves change color in the Fall. When you combine this layout with the new TGR Design course, it will certainly elevate the stay and play profile of the resort and create quite a complementary pair in the Mid-Atlantic.

Going beyond golf . . .
Beyond golf, Tributer Resort is evolving into a premier lifestyle and residential destination as its current residential collection includes homesites, seven golf villas, and eight cottages. These are all member-owned yet accessible to select guests through stay and play reservations. Once complete, the resort will have 22 villas and 34 cottages making it an ideal destination for golf groups who prefer the multi-bedroom stay to that of a standard hotel.
The four-bedroom Golf Villas feature spa-inspired en-suite baths, open-concept living areas, and private terraces overlooking the course, enhanced by oversized windows and elevated finishes. The two-bedroom Golf Cottages feature chef-inspired kitchens, spacious living and entertaining areas, and welcoming outdoor porches. Homesites range from one-third to two-thirds of an acre with golf course views, cul-de-sac settings, and a prime location near the main entrance and golf village.
Two membership options are now available, offering priority access to the golf course and an expanding collection of current and future amenities. Once complete, the community will include nearly 900 residences, additional chef-driven dining spaces, sports courts, wellness amenities, pool and lakeside recreation, trail systems, and curated outdoor experiences designed to create a year-round resort environment rooted in golf, hospitality, and waterfront living.
