Old Petty at Cabot Highlands
The team at Cabot has been on a hot streak as of late, and that momentum isn’t slowing down as their team has officially released the first images of Old Petty, the eagerly awaited new golf course designed by Tom Doak at Cabot Highlands in Scotland.
Located adjacent to the historic Old Petty Church and enjoying views of the 400-year-old Castle Stuart from 13 of its 18 holes, the course is set to open for preview play from August 1 to September 30, 2025. The course has been designed to highlight the beautiful natural surroundings of the area, and you can see for yourself how beautiful the design has turned out in the following images:

Cabot Highlands will offer a walking-only playing experience on Old Petty during the preview window, with tee times available in collaboration with bookings made on the Castle Stuart Course at Cabot Highlands. Old Petty Preview Play green fees are priced at $223, with the Castle Stuart course priced at $387, providing an exceptional opportunity to play both world-class courses at Cabot Highlands this summer.
“We are so excited to be sharing this first glimpse of Old Petty,” said Ben Cowan-Dewar, CEO and co-founder of Cabot. “From the outset, our vision has been to honor the land and its rich history while crafting an unforgettable golf experience that adds to the reputation of Castle Stuart. Old Petty is a course that will surprise, challenge and inspire, true to the spirit of the Highlands.”
It’s yet another home run for the team at Cabot as Cabot Highlands is a member of their exquisite roster of properties which includes Cabot Cape Breton in Nova Scotia, Cabot Saint Lucia in the Caribbean, Cabot Revelstoke in British Columbia, Cabot Citrus Farms in Florida, Cabot Bordeaux in France, and an investment into Lofoten Links in Norway.
