How The Baths of Blackwolf Run elevate the experience at Kohler, Wisconsin

We have entered a modern-day renaissance over the last couple of decades where the overall experience of your stay-and-play has been evaluated by the top resorts to ensure that every facet of your day leaves a lasting impression. Nowhere is that more evident than at the iconic Kohler, Wisconsin.

Consistently ranked as one of the best golf resorts in the country, the experience here leaves no detail to chance and the resort delivers in every way.

When you are the home of the Straits course at Whistling Straits, we know that playing a round here will be at the center of your golf vacation planning needs and rightfully so.  But one thing you can’t sleep on at Kohler, Wisconsin is the entirety of the golf experience and one of our favorite recent additions to a golf vacation here is The Baths of Blackwolf Run.

Located near the first tee of the Meadow Valleys course, you’ll find one of the best short courses in the country with The Baths of Blackwolf Run. As you approach the first tee, you’ll find a friendly starter station with plenty of libations available to set the stage for a fun, friendly 10-hole par-3 layout that will be one of the highlights of your trip.

Walking bags are available for use at no additional charge, and with the longest hole tipping out at 171 yards, you can certainly lighten your load before you tee it up here so you can ensure one hand is always available to carry your cold beverage from hole to hole.

The course was designed by Pete Dye disciple Chris Lutzke and the late, great Herb Kohler to create a fun and challenging layout as you’ll quickly find that these holes are far from your average pitch and putt short course.

Further enhancements at The Baths of Blackwolf Run

As much fun as The Baths is, the good times can continue to roll after your round as and your group can enjoy the two-acre putting course that can be altered between an 18-hole and a 27-hole routing.

The resort has also recently added The Lost Sheep food truck to the area as well as it is parked daily next to the first tee of The Baths.

You can order fresh, casual eats before, during, or after your round. This is a great addition as many groups might have tight windows between their tee times on one of the four 18-hole layouts and their round at The Baths, so it provides plenty of opportunities to enjoy some Wisconsin culinary delights and keep you fueled with energy at this bucket-list destination.

It’s the perfect element to add the cherry on top of your Kohler, Wisconsin getaway, so be sure to include it on your itinerary as we know you’ll be glad that you did.
