Golf Packages We Love October 2025

Rum Pointe Seaside Golf Links

Here at GolfStayAndPlays.com, we are always on the lookout for great deals and experiences for our readers.

To celebrate that, we’ve created a series that focuses on packages that we think excel in these two areas.  Here is a list of some upcoming deals that we have recently found that we thought you should consider for any future golf getaways:

Cabot Cape Breton – Inverness, Nova Scotia

All you need to do is Google “Cabot Cape Breton” and you’ll see what makes this Eastern Canadian golf resort so special.  Cabot Cape Breton was the first project under the now robust Cabot brand that now includes multiple bucket-list properties.  The Cabot Cape Breton story began when a partnership was formed by Cabot CEO Ben Cowan-Dewar and Mike Keiser, the genius who created Bandon Dunes who has an expanding family golf empire of his own.  The partnership launched with the development of Cabot Links, the first 18 holes on property designed by Rod Whitman. It’s a fantastic links-style layout that would land top billing at most other golf resorts in the world, but in 2016 the team of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw added Cabot Cliffs to the resort bringing the profile of the resort to a whole new stratosphere.  The entire layout here is fantastic, but the views that start from the back of the par-5 15th green that lead into the awe-inspiring par-3 cliffside 16th hole are simply exquisite.  Follow that up with the uphill tee shot over a cliff on the par-4 17th hole that features an approach shot that can be putt onto the green from well over 100 yards out if you play it right, and an 18th hole that runs all the way along the ocean to finish up one of the most special rounds in the world.

The team here also added The Nest to the resort over recent years which is an 11-hole par-3 course that features some of the same stunning views down to the water that you’ll find on the two main courses here.  Overall, it’s an unbelievable property and from a golf package standpoint there has never been a better time to book a package here as the exchange rates from the U.S. to Canada is incredibly strong currently.  The season is just about wrapped up for 2025, but if you’d like to book a group here in 2026 you should start inquiring now as lodging is somewhat limited, so you’ll want to act fast.  The peak rate for a resort guest in 2026 is currently $329 U.S. for Cabot Cliffs and Cabot Links for a resort guest which is an insane amount of value at this epic golf resort. GlenRiddle War Admiral

Saddlebrook Resort – Wesley Chapel, Florida

Saddlebrook Resort, located just outside of Tampa, Florida, is undergoing a major renovation and we are here for the upgrades!  The bones of this property have always been great, and a recent investment from the new ownership group is bringing the stay and play experience at Saddlebrook back to where it belongs.  Some of the recent changes have included a renovation of the lobby, the reimagining of the rooms and suites which were always spacious but now have a modern flair, the renovation of their signature pool area, and the elevation of the dining experience including the new BREW Café and RARE 1981, the new signature dining experience that features steak and seafood alongside a strong cocktail and wine offering.

These renovations have also included a major reimagining of the golf courses, and they have changed the courses to now play as 27 holes through the incredible vision of Rees Jones.  Currently 9 holes from the original Saddlebrook Course, now called the Cypress 9-hole Course, are open for play.  The remaining land from the old Palmer Course and the front nine of the old Saddlebrook Course have been reconstructed into the new massive practice facility and the two new 9-hole layouts designed by Rees Jones.  The first of these 9-hole routings will be called the Oak Course, and it is scheduled to open in early November 2025 and the second 9-hole layout known as the Pine Course is planned to open in early January 2026.
