Golf Packages We Love August 2026

Shingle Creek Resort

Here at GolfStayAndPlays.com, we are always on the lookout for great deals and experiences for our readers.

To celebrate that, we’ve created a series that focuses on packages that we think excel in these two areas.  Here is a list of some upcoming deals that we have recently found that we thought you should consider for any future golf getaways:

Casa de Campo – La Romana, Dominican Republic

Casa de Campo is the resort that put golf in the Caribbean on the map.  The incomparable Teeth of the Dog course was designed by Pete Dye many moons ago, and recent enhancements to the course has it looking better than ever.  With 7 holes that play right along the ocean, this course provides epic views of the aqua blue waters of the Caribbean Sea that will leave a lasting impression.

While Teeth of the Dog is the star of the show here, Casa de Campo also is home to the Dye Fore courses which feature 27 holes of golf that are known for their spectacular cliffside holes, and The Links which features wider fairways yet challenging greens as we all know Pete Dye would never make a golf course too easy for us!

While the golf at Casa de Campo is exceptional, it’s the overall experience here that really sets this resort apart as the all-inclusive nature of the resort makes a visit here easy and more affordable.  A stay here includes your breakfasts, lunches, dinners, drinks, and snacks!  With packages starting at $2,515 per person based on a double occupancy stay through our friends at Golfbreaks, it’s one of the most affordable bucket list golf trips that you can book.

Shingle Creek Resort – Orlando, Florida

When it comes to Orlando, Florida, many people think of it as a golfer’s paradise and rightfully so as there are a ton of memorable golf courses in the area.  And when it comes to finding value in this area for a stay and play getaway, then you need look no further than Shingle Creek Resort.  The Arnold Palmer designed golf course is always a fun course to play that blends a solid mix of risk/reward holes with playable holes giving golfers of all skill levels a chance to score.  The design team wanted to test better players while also giving more notice to golfers ample area to bail out if they need to, and somehow they’ve pulled this design challenge off beautifully.

From a resort perspective, the property is located conveniently near the heart of International Drive where you will find what feels like a million activities and restaurants to enjoy, and it’s also extremely close to Universal Studios and a short drive from Disney.

Their Stay and Play Package includes a stay for one night at the AAA Four Diamond Rosen Shingle Creek where you will enjoy two rounds at Shingle Creek Golf Club, discounted rates at The Shingle Creek Golf Academy for hotel guests where you can add a one hour lesson for $120.00 plus tax, per person, and you will enjoy no resort fees.  The rates for this vary based on your dates, but we found several dates over the next few months where we were seeing this for $300. That’s $150 per person which is amazing on a double occupancy stay!

Big Cedar Lodge – Ridgedale, Missouri

Big Cedar Lodge has taken the golf world by storm over the last few years, and the recent addition of their 18-hole Cliffhangers par-3 course has captivated the golfing world as this modern marvel features a hole where you literally hit your tee shot through a waterfall.  It’s as unique as anything you’ll find out there, and when you combine it with the three 18-hole championship courses of Payne’s Valley, Ozarks National, and Buffalo Ridge as well as the other two short courses of Top of the Rock and Mountain Top, it makes for one of the game’s most compelling destinations.

If you’re looking for value on a visit here, the shoulder season of October 26-December 6, 2026, allows you to enjoy significantly discounted rates from peak season prices as you’ll see here.  One thing we love about Big Cedar is their variety of lodging, so if you’re looking for peak value stay at Angler’s Lodge, but if you can afford it we highly recommend the Payne’s Valley Cottages.  Either way, you can’t go wrong!
