Golf Packages We Love: December 2023

Streamsong Blue

Here at GolfStayAndPlays.com, we are always on the lookout for great deals and experiences for our readers.

To celebrate that, we’ve created a series that focuses on packages that we think excel in these two areas.  Here is a list of some upcoming deals that we have recently found that we thought you should consider for any future golf getaways.

Streamsong Resort

If you’re looking for a great last-minute golf trip going into the holiday season or in the early part of 2024, then you should give this Central Florida legend a look as there are some exciting offerings available in the coming months that include:

  • Streamsong will be open December 21-23, 2023 for golf at Red and Blue only (the lodge and other amenities will not be opened) with rounds going at a rate of $199 per round whether you ride or walk with caddie fees being an additional charge. Rounds are bookable online here.
    • 12/21 9 a.m. shotgun start on Red – tee times on Blue
    • 12/22 9 a.m. shotgun start on Blue – tee times on Red
    • 12/23 9 a.m. shotgun start on Red – Tee times on Blue
  • The first few months of the year tend to be busy at Streamsong, but currently they do have some space available for stays in the Sunday-Wednesday windows in February and March if you’re looking for a getaway in those months.
  • Streamsong is also now going to allow carts after 11 a.m. beginning February 1 for those who would prefer to ride versus walk.  This is a big change for the resort that focuses on a walking only policy, but they are doing so to enhance the experience of guests who prefer the use of a cart.

With some great rates and flexible policies available here in the coming months along with the addition of The Chain, Streamsong’s newest short course design, there’s a lot to be excited about if you and your group are looking to play at one of the best golf resorts in the country.

Pinehurst Resort

Pinehurst Resort has been one of our favorite resorts for a long time, and the team here has continued to enhance the experience here over the last few years with major renovations that started with Coore and Crenshaw coming in and restoring the historic No. 2 Course and was followed by Gil Hanse impeccably renovating No. 4 and adding in The Cradle, and now the golf world is abuzz with the upcoming opening of the new Tom Doak designed No. 10 Course.  But before No. 10 opens, the time is right to visit Pinehurst at a great price.

Pinehurst Resort adjusts there rates seasonally, and for those looking to enjoy a bucket list experience at a fraction of the cost, you should consider looking at the Donald Ross Golf Package in the 11/26/23 through 2/29/24 window.  Yes, weather can be cold in North Carolina during these time frames, but the price for a 3-day, 2-night stay with a double occupancy room in this window starts at $747 per person prior to taxes and resort service charges.  This package includes breakfast and dinner daily, and if you’d like to include No. 2 there is a $195 premium.  That means for around $1,000 you can get 3 rounds of golf (we suggest No. 2, No. 4, and No. 8 and then spring for The Cradle one day), lodging, and most of your food covered at one of the best resorts in the country.  Talk about a steal! And you can get it right here.
