If you feel strategy should be part of the game, then The Moor is the perfect course for you. Rather than banging away with the biggest club in your bag on every tee shot, its numerous doglegs provide a fair, but stiff test of any golfers’ game. If you’re a right-handed fade hitter, hole Nos. 1, 2, 7 and 9 will be delightful, although you’ll need to show some pop to cut those corners. The par-72 course plays 6,850 yards from the tips and has six different tee markers, with the first four all seeing the course play at more than 6,000 yards. The Moor is an official AJGA Championship course, with some of the youngest stars in the world testing their games on this Bill Newcomb, John Robison and Mike DeVries track — which now also features tour bunker sand.
