The Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in Traverse City, Michigan is a golfer’s delight that provides golfers with 54 holes of championship golf that provide a visually stunning experience any golfer is sure to love. Spruce Run was the resort’s original course and was designed to be an 18-hole golf course by former University of Michigan Coach William Newcomb. It gets its name as a result of the numerous spruce and fir trees that line its fairways and greens, and even with all of these trees is still plays as the easiest course on property. Don’t think that means it is a cake walk though, as the course has water on 13 of its 18 holes and it still has plenty of bite to make you earn your score here.
