2026 Furyk & Friends at Hammock Beach: Courses, field and events guide

The Jack Nicklaus Signature Designed-Ocean Course at Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa

This year, the PGA TOUR Champions is hosting an event for the first time at the beautiful Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa with tournament rounds being played on October 9-11, 2026.  It’s the first time this event has made its way to Hammock Beach, and we are excited to see this property be showcased to a national television audience for the first time ever.

The event will be played on the Jack Nicklaus Signature Designed-Ocean Course that features six holes that play directly along the Atlantic Ocean, the most of any course in the state of Florida. As you can imagine, the routing is known for having to factor in the nearby ocean breezes, and the first thing you’re likely to notice is the impeccable conditioning that their team keeps the course in. The layout features plenty of water hazards and strategic bunkering that you have to work around, and golfers will await a four-hole finish known as “The Bear Claw” nicknamed after the Golden Bear himself that is sure to have a hefty say in who hoists the trophy come Sunday.

While the Ocean Course will get all the television coverage this week, we find that guests rave equally about the experience of Tom Watson’s Signature Designed-Conservatory Course.  While this layout may not play directly along the ocean like its sister course, it still features plenty of water throughout and packs quite a punch as it tips out at 7,776 yards!  We’ve found it to be every bit as demanding of a test of golf as the Ocean Course, and it makes for one of the great 1-2 combinations of courses in the Southeastern United States.

The week is sure to be a fun one as Pro-Am outings will run prior to the start of the event, and guests who attend the first round on Friday October 9th can also enjoy the Furyk Foundation Concert sponsored by Ring Power with country music superstar Billy Currington at The Boardwalk following the round around 7 p.m. EST.  Saturday will be focused on paying recognition to the Folds of Honor as guests are asked to wear red, white, and blue to honor those who have served.  This is a strong theme in Northeast Florida as the golf community goes above and beyond in this region of the country to honor the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much for us to be able to enjoy this great game among our many other freedoms.

It’s going to be a star-studded event as the field includes players such as Vijay Singh, Rocco Mediate, Ben Crane, John Daly, Zach Johnson, Stewart Cink, Chris DiMarco, Bernhard Langer, Justin Leonard, and of course, Jim Furyk just to name a few.  Be sure to check out the coverage, and we have a feeling a trip to the greater Palm Coast, Florida area may be in your future when you see how special this property truly is.
