An Arthur Hills redesign — touching up Harry Bowers’ original work — the Crooked Tree Golf Club is an environmental marvel, utilizing all of the natural surroundings to its advantage. The course makes its way through centuries-old hardwood, while perched on the bluffs above Little Traverse Bay. The front nine is lined by old-growth trees, providing magnificent sightlines for every golf. The greens provide a stiff test, as being careful is key due to the undulations. The only par-71 in the Boyne collection in Michigan, the course plays just under 6,700 yards from the tips. The five par-3s all hover near 180 yards, while two par-5s stretch over 500 yards.
