Then there is the golf course.
Adare Manor provides a pristine layout that usually provides a welcome break to most golfers on their golf trip who have been beaten up by the winds and thick rough that are synonymous with the links-style legends of the area. While it’s far from a pushover, its more inland setting isn’t met with the same winds as other courses and the lush green fairways are a welcomed reprieve for golfers from the states.
When it comes to the 2027 Ryder Cup here, we are very eager to see what the European squad does with the set-up of the course. From our perspective, the normal setup feels tailor made for the Americans who are known for their power off the tee over the European lads. But as we saw at Bethpage Black in 2025 on a course that was known for being one of the harder courses in the United States, a few mistakes in preparation can be a major deciding factor in who brings home the Ryder Cup.
