There are some resorts where simply hearing the name sparks a sense of wanting to visit there immediately, and Bandon Dunes Golf Resort is one of those places. So when is the best time to play the multiple courses, and how should you pack? We've got some tips.

Erin Hills took the national stage by storm when Brooks Koepka captured the 2017 U.S. Open Championship here and it was the first time most of the golfing public was able to feast their eyes on this Wisconsin treasure, and this event was the epicenter of a longstanding relationship with the governing body of golf here in the states as the facility hosted the 2008 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship, the 2011 U.S. Amateur Championship, the 2022 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship, and is scheduled to host the 2025 U.S. Women’s Open Championship.

The golf courses — Sun Mountain, Snow Mountain and Wolf — at the Las Vegas Paiute Resort shine in the desert, a bastion of green grass among the greys, browns and beiges of the surrounding wasteland, all in the distant shadow of the Las Vegas Mountain Range.

The Congaree Golf Club in Gillisonville, South Carolina – site of this year’s CJ Cup, which is part of the PGA Tour’s Fall Series from Oct. 20-23 – falls into the latter category. Congaree will host the event for the first time after it was founded as Korea’s first official PGA Tour tournament in 2017.

This year’s World Wide Technology Championship of Mayakoba, will be played Nov. 3-6 at El Camaleon Golf Club at Mayakoba in Playa del Carmen, a coastal resort town along a strip of Caribbean shoreline known for its palm-lined beaches, coral reefs and opulent resorts.

The spotlight will be bright and our attention will be piqued for golf as played in Japan when the PGA Tour’s Fall Series heads to Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club in Chiba for the Zozo Championship on Oct. 13-16.

Of all the islands famous for golf around the world, Bermuda may be the most underrated. The mid-Atlantic destination has done its best to grab notoriety from golfers and has already captured the PGA Tour’s attention via the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, which will be held at part of Tour’s Fall Series Oct. 27-30 at the sublime Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton on the island’s western coast.

TPC Summerlin, a wonderful, solid and a bit understated facility (at least by Sin City standards) will host the PGA Tour’s Shriners Children’s Open for the 30th consecutive year from Oct. 6-9.
